The Top 5 Tips for a Quiet, Happy Dog While you are not at Home

Many new puppies have a tough time dealing with their new owners going to work. They get anxious, they whine, they rip apart furniture or they tear up your backyard. There are a variety of options you could consider to help your dog deal with you going to work and there are 5 of them mentioned in this article.

• Put Your Dog Through Obedience Training- The first thing you need to do when you get a new dog is too teach it who is boss. If you put your dog through obedience training then it will look up to you. In that way, it won’t necessarily mind if you leave for the day.

• Don’t Get Too Attached- You need to encourage your dog to have some level of independence. If you are constantly paying attention to your dog when you are at home, there is no way that your dog will be quiet or still when you are at work. If your dog has some level of independence, they could entertain themselves whilst you are away.

• Sneak Out- If none of these options work, then you could try sneaking out. If you are lucky, then your dog may not even notice you have left.

• You Could Use a No-Bark Collar- If the problem you face with your puppy is that it barks all day whilst you are away, them you could consider a no-bark collar. A no-bark collar can send a small shock in to the dog every time they bark. Your dog will quickly learn not to bark.

• You Could Send Your Dog to a Doggy- Day Care- If all else fails, you could send your dog to Doggy Day-Care. They should find themselves thoroughly entertained with toys and other canine friends.
